Rabbsfarm is a large, popular school, with approximately 515 pupils. The pupils and families who attend Rabbsfarm reflect the diversity of Yiewsley and West Drayton with a variety of languages, cultures and backgrounds represented here. The growth in our school numbers reflects the quality of education we provide. We now have 90 places for children to enter Reception each year.
Established in 1970, Rabbsfarm Primary is a community school which prides itself on providing a broad and balanced curriculum and ensuring high standards in the core subject areas of Reading, Writing and Maths. In our relentless drive for improvement, our aim is that all pupils should develop as excellent learners, have well developed social and emotional skills and fulfil their potential.
Our new two-story building offers a wealth of facilities specifically designed to excite the learner and ensure that a varied curriculum can be offered. We have excellent resources and have invested in new areas such as a cooking room, music and dance studio, roof top learning space, MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) and superb outside play equipment.
Our children have positive attitudes to learning, standards of behaviour are high and attainment across the curriculum is improving. The school has good relationships with parents, carers, and governors .We have inspiring, skilled teachers and excellent support staff. Pupils are provided with appropriate academic challenges and the breadth and quality of education is continuing to develop. The school has been awarded Healthy Schools status, Active Mark (2008) and Sustainable Travel awards in recognition of the high quality of its work across these areas of the curriculum. We have embraced new technology and offer the latest ICT equipment which is integrated throughout the curriculum. We also have an increasing number of computers, laptops, netbooks, iPads and interactive whiteboards.
We are proud of the varied opportunities that are offered to pupils across the curriculum and extra-curricular activities are constantly changing. Opportunities offered include; choir, chess, French, ukulele, violin, football, gymnastics, tag rugby, netball, athletics, cricket, tennis and homework club.
Pupils have opportunities to learn through a wide range of educational visits and events, including a residential trip in Year 6. There is a shared drive to review, improve and constantly enrich our curriculum to ensure learning is relevant and exciting for all pupils.
Rabbsfarm Primary School is a learning community which is striving for excellence. We are pleased to welcome you to our school to experience our exciting, vibrant and happy environment for yourselves.
