RE Intent

At Rabbsfarm Primary School, we are fortunate to have a wide range of pupils with diverse backgrounds, religions and cultures. We celebrate and promote inclusivity throughout the school and work to inspire pupils’ minds to ask questions about each other and the world they live in. Furthermore, our RE curriculum offers opportunities for personal reflection and the development of pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural being in light of what they learn. RE lessons include enquiry-based questions that allow children to develop their understanding and appreciation of religious and non-religious views, cultural practices, expressions of beliefs and how major religions influence the local, wider and national community. Respect, acceptance and appreciation of viewpoints similar or different to ones’ own are key values that are at the foundation of every lesson taught to pupils.
